Who runs a Komodo Cruise Package trip
A Komodo cruise is only as good as the people arranging it and the crew running the boat. This page sets out who does what at Komodo Cruise Package: which parts of a trip we handle ourselves, which parts belong to the vessel operator, and where our own knowledge stops. How this desk is staffed
Planning and guest relations. Itineraries, cabin allocation and the day-to-day of a booking are handled by our planning desk in Labuan Bajo. Once a booking is confirmed you are given the name and direct number of the coordinator looking after it — a working contact, not a marketing biography.
Vessels and crew. We do not own or crew boats. Every Phinisi on this site is operated by its owner and its own crew, and the certification Indonesian maritime regulation requires for those routes belongs to that vessel and its captain, not to us. We send you the vessel’s documents on request rather than summarise them here.
Safety and compliance. What we do ourselves is a documentation check: safety-equipment inventory, insurance, and crew certification, read against the requirements of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation. That is a paperwork review by our operations staff, not a survey by a certified marine surveyor, and we would rather say so than let you assume otherwise. Conservation. We employ no marine biologist and fund no research of our own. Where these pages describe reef condition or conservation practice in Komodo we are citing the organisations that do that work — among them the Komodo Survival Program and WWF Indonesia — and we do not present their findings as ours. Ground logistics. Airport pickups at Komodo International (LBJ), hotel transfers, and support when flights move are handled by our Labuan Bajo ground team.
